  3.     SETTLEMENT PENDING. Between Sony Corp. and Warner
  4. Communications; of a lawsuit brought by Warner to prevent movie
  5. producers Peter Guber and Jon Peters from becoming heads of Sony's
  6. newly acquired Columbia Pictures. Guber and Peters, who produced
  7. the megahit Batman, will be allowed to break a five-year deal with
  8. Warner Bros. films and jump to Columbia for an exchange of cash and
  9. property. Estimated cost to Sony: $400 million.
